Dinosaurs in NYC!

June 12, 2010 we went to the Museum of Natural History in NYC to see the dinosaurs!

(First, we had an emergency run to a Duane Reade to replace important items - like diapers and wipes - that got left behind at Safta's house in the diaper bag that mommy thought daddy had put in the car and vice versa. . .)

We met up with Ann and David and Kirsten and Nicholas and baby Will for a quick lunch before heading out to the main event. . .

Trying to find seating for 6 adults, 2 kids in highchairs, and a stroller was difficult - and was made a little weirder by the lone old lady who sat in the middle of the otherwise empty table cluster. Instead of moving over to one side, she remained in the middle while we began to sit around her, making small talk while Mommy was trying to wrestle, er, breastfeed Joss without the privacy of the "hooter hider" (which was in the diaper bag back at Safta's). Eventually, the lone lady left, and a jolly lunch was had by us.

Self portrait!

Will, David, and Ann

Joss, plotting his next mischief. . .excellent. . .

Ann loving a little baby, now that her Will is a big one-year-old.

Paul only wanted to walk up the short flight of stairs, across the glass floor over some fossils and bones, and down the other short flight of stairs. Lather, rinse, repeat.

He looks innocent, doesn't he?

Will teaches big sister Kirsten about the *somethingmumbly*saur.

Hey Nicholas - look at all the people down there!

Nicholas is great with very young kids - he was super with Paul two years ago. . .

"Paul! What is this?"
"Mommy - there's a plaque clearly stating the dinosaur name and important factoids right here. Duh."

Joss hitches a ride on Mommy!
