Weekend in NYC - Sunday (New Food: French Toast, turkey breast, pickle, pickled beets)

Sunday morning, we met Jodi for breakfast at the diner. Paul had some french toast, but seemed to like his applesauce with oatmeal better.

After a family nap, we packed up the car once more, and headed home to Boston. Daddy drove a sleeping Paul and sleeping Mommy through traffic and severe rain storms, until it was lunch time at Rein's Deli.
Paul had his Gerber green beans and peaches as an appetizer. Then he had some turkey breast and baked beans. He LOVED the little bits of half-sour pickle Mommy gave him, and he also really liked the bits of pickled beets. . . Way to expand your palate, little man!
More traffic, more rain, and finally we got home. Now, everyone is asleep except for Mommy!

Weekend in NYC - Saturday Evening (New Food: Cheerio's)

When we got back from NYC, Safta introduced Paul to addictive baby-crack, better known as "Cheerios". . . while Paul needs to work on the "bringing food to his mouth" thing, he loved the cereal that Safta put into his mouth. . .

In fact, when Cindy and Jes came by for a short visit that night, Paul tried to share his Cheerios with Cindy. . .

Staring contest!

After a fun bath, and the lotion-song, Paul and Cindy have a chat. . .

Weekend in NYC - Saturday Lunch w/Jesse (New Food: Bison)

After the DELUGE drove us out of the Park, we met up with Cousin Jesse for a late lunch. He now lives in NYC, and got to meet Paul for the first time over beer and Bison Burgers. . .

Weekend in NYC - Saturday afternoon

A Capella in Central Park!
Paul watched the Rhythm Method sing 80's songs. . .
Jim, Shawn, Ann, and Paul
Paul and Kieran (Jim is Kieran's Daddy) play. . .
. . .sort of. Share, Paul, share.
Daddy rejoins the Binghamtonics like a decade hasn't passed by. . .
It was very, very hot in the park on Saturday. . .
The Crosbys - there's Kieran's dad, 4th from left. . .
Ann joins the Harpur Harpeggios for some Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy goodness. . .

Weekend in NYC - Saturday Brunch (New Food: Pancake)

Saturday morning, we got back into the car, and drove into NYC for the A Capella in the Park summer reunion! Paul's first visit to Manhattan was most successful. . .

Mommy and Paul on Central Park West. . .

Paul meets our good friend Ann-tastic!

Brunch party of 5 1/2: Paul, Beren, David (Ann's husband), Ann, and Nick (Ann's stepson) (Shawn is taking the picture)

Paul and Nick hit it off swimmingly. . .Ann and Beren discussing interesting literature. . .

Weekend in NYC - Friday (New Food: Spinach)

Friday, we packed the big stroller in the car, and headed down for a short weekend in NY with family and friends.

Since we left the house way later than we wanted to (anybody surprised?), we got to Jes' house in Highland Mills just around dinnertime. Paul was charming and played with the absent-Jack's toys for a while, then joined us for dinner (Thanks Mr O!).

Paul enjoyed spinach and potato and meat before crashing and heading off to Safta's house for bath and bed.

Evening plans

While Mommy was at her book group, Daddy and Paul went to Brookline for dinner with Uncle Eric and cousins Sophia and Asher. . .

Baby road?

*whispered* "Help me!"
Asher reduces his carbon foot-print by carpooling. . .er, stroller-pooling. . .

New food: Beef/Hamburger

New food: Daddy

Busy Saturday

Paul had a rather busy Saturday. We went to Shul, where he was very well behaved, charmed everybody, and ate Challah and a bite of pasta salad.

When we got home, he had to burn off those carbs. . .what better exercise than the Jumparoo?

After dinner, Mommy and Daddy took Paul to a local playground.

Paul chatted up a cute Portuguese baby girl, then hit the swings. At first, he was a little unsure. . .

. . . but then he decided he liked it.

New food: Chicken and Beans

Friday was a pretty good day. Daddy came home from Seattle very early in the morning. All three of us napped a little, and when we woke up, Paul took a shower with Daddy. Mommy had fun brushing Paul's hair. . .

Daddy went to work, and since Paul had been clean for 12 whole minutes, it was time for lunch, with a teething biscuit chaser. . .
Later, Mommy and Paul met Daddy for dinner in Burlington with some of Daddy's team. Paul had some of Mommy's chicken and a few black beans! Ah, glorious protein!

Happy Octalunaversary!!

Talking to Safta on the Phone

Well, not exactly "talking" . . . more like "gnawing" . . .

Dinner of Champions

Well, baby champions. We start with breastmilk, nibble on masa (from Mommy's leftover tamale), dabble with watermelon, then gorge on avocado and very ripe banana. . .

I can do it myself, Mommy. . .
Uh, maybe I do need a little help. . .

Daddy is where? On the phone?

Daddy? It sounds like daddy, but it doesn't look like Daddy. . . Where's the beard?

Bath, please!!
