It puts the lotion on the baby. . .

. . . or it gets the hose again!

We're going to visit Uncle Mitch and Aunt Randy in MD this weekend. As there may not be any new blog posts until Monday, Paul wanted to leave his fans with a little cheesecake!

(Yeah, this one is going in his Senior Year High School Yearbook!)

Not the lip!!!

Mommy cannot withstand the power of the lip! I'll give you anything you want, darling - ice cream for breakfast! A Nintendo Wii! Stay up all night! A pony! Would you like a pony? I'll get you a pony - just please - Not the Lip!!!

4mo check-up, and Paul took the shots like a champ. . .

. . . a wailing, red-faced champ, but it was nothing some boob couldn't soothe. . .

Paul is now 16lb 2oz, 24.25 in long, with head circ of 16.25 in, which puts him in 73% for weight (up from 8% at birth!) and 23% for height and head. . .

We discussed solids, and our dr said that it would be fine to introduce them anytime we feel comfortable in the next 2 months - he's obviously not having any trouble gaining weight with nursing and a lil formula supplementation.

He was too fussy to nurse by 4pm, but some tylenol mellowed him out, and he's fed and chill now.

Here he is coming out of the dr's office. . .

Family weekend - and an EXCITING VIDEO!!

Thursday night, we had dinner with Grandma Shelly and Uncle Eric (Aunt Andi was in NH with cousins Jacob, Sophia and Asher, and Grandpa Steve).

Daddy came home Friday morning, just ahead of the snowstorm (we got over 9" of snow!), and we got to have a nice Shabbat dinner.
Saturday was too snowy to go to Shul in the morning, but Mommy and Daddy were able to go out for a dinner date that night (thanks for sitting, Grandma Shelly!).
Sunday, Paul got to meet his second cousin once removed, Michael Price, who goes to school at MIT.

Later today, Paul got in some great tummy time. . .
. . .and PAUL ROLLED OVER! TWICE!! Mommy enjoyed the first roll-over, but was clever enough to get the next one on video! Roll tape!

Grandma came to visit!

Grandma Shelly came to visit while Daddy's away on travel this week. First, she told Paul some funny stories. . .

. . .which amused him greatly.

Then, she attached lil animal rattles to his wrists and feet. . .
. . .Paul was less amused by those right now, but he'll totally rock them in another few days.

Paul also had a conversation with Grandma, using new and unusual phonemes. We recorded it for Daddy - here's the video. . .

Paul also seemed to sing a sad oratorio while Mommy was changing him for bed - he made Grandma and Mommy laugh, even with all the sad faces. . .

Don't worry - Mommy swaddled and fed Paul, and put him to bed in a much happier mood.

KOMPLEMENT MÅNSTAD, ÅNGE HOPEN CHARMÖR! ARV BRÖLLOP VÄGHULT DROPPAR? *

Mommy sure loves her some Ikea! And Paul was excited to go with her, as shown below:

Yes, Paul was utterly thrilled and captivated by the experience:
*I love to shop at Ikea! Do you have the allen wrench?

Busy Weekend!

Friday night, Paul had a little tummy time. . .
. . .but enjoyed sitting in his bumbo even more.

Saturday, he wore his awesome Tigger outfit (thanks Gillian & Iain!) to shul, where he charmed everyone - as usual. Then he had fun on his playmat.

Sunday, we had lunch with Mike and Reiko - thanks for a fun time!

What a Good Boy Have We!

Last night, Paul gave mommy and daddy the best Valentine's Day present ever: He slept the whole night in his very own crib in his very own room! I have no idea if this will ever happen again, but it was sure nice while it lasted!

Here's a pic of Paul in his crib:

Here's a dramatic re-enactment of last night:

I think he likes his crib!

Then today we went for a walk to the library in the balmy high 40-degree weather we had today. Paul charmed the librarian, a few library patrons, and the lady at the bakery where we got scones for tomorrow's breakfast.

Paul is also spending more time on his floor mat - hopefully we'll see some rolling-like motions in the not-so-far future. For now, he seems contented just to kick his feet and occasionally, accidentally, bat at Spike the Dinosaur:

(By the way, he is now half-evil - 333! 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days!)

Yet another thing Paul will discuss with his therapist. . .

More floor time today

After a long breakfast, a good poop, a second breakfast, a nice 2-hour nap (mommy got to do some beading! yippee!), and a lite lunch, it was time to play on the floor!

Some cute video of Paul playing:

Sunday recap

Much chaos ensued as Daddy, Uncle Eric, and a swarm of children came by to deliver and assemble Paul's crib. The Secret of NIMH was watched, OJ drunk, cookies eaten, and eventually every body left with their proper coats.

After that, Paul hung out on his playmat, and had an excellent conversation with the devastatingly handsome baby in the mirror over his head.

Then, our friends Kara, Brendan, and Georgia stopped by for a little visit.
Here's our intrepretation of "Three Men and a Little Lady: The Musical"

We forgot to get a side by side photo of Paul and Georgia, like we did NYE (http://flickersblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/happy-new-year.html), but here's a decent size comparison.

Listen carefully. . .

. . . and you can hear Paul snoring.

My favorite computer pop-up!

No babies were harmed in the making of this video.

Can we stop taking pictures now?
