Paul and a sticker

Paul learns about the sticky properties of a sticker. . .

. . .until he tries to eat it. . .

Look! Paul's walking with his push-toy!

After crawl-pushing the toy into James, then across the room, Paul finally stood and took a few steps!

. . .well, it didn't last long. . .
But he did push his rocking-horse across the room until it got stuck in a doorway. . .that was a good 8-9 steps for him. . . goofy, almost walking, boy.

8th night of Hanukkah w/James, Mike & Reiko

Our friends Mike, Reiko, and James came by to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah with us tonight. We played with toys, lit candles, spun dreidles, and had take-out chinese food. Much fun - and presents - were had by all.

Flashback. . .

Remember this last year?

Everyone's a critic.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. . .

7th night of Hanukkah

On the 7th night of Hanukkah, Paul lit candles with Mommy and Safta (while Daddy took pictures). Then. . .
PRESENTS!!
A blue doggy. . .
. . .a Disney Dreidle. . .
. . .Ooooh, and an Elmo book!
Video of Safta and Daddy singing with Paul. . .

Cuddly boy and his Safta

Peek-a-Boo!

Or as it's known at our house, "Where's Paul? There he is!"

(Sorry they're a little dark. . .)

Lunchtime is way more fun when you can play with Safta Sheila!

Safta Sheila's making funny faces

Oh, Safta, you're so funny. . .

Just kidding!
More, more!
Uh-oh, that's what Mommy does. . .

6th night of Hanukkah

Yes, Uncle Eric, Aunt Andi, Jacob, Sophia, and Asher all came by on their way up to NH to light the Hanukkah candles with us for the 6th night. Safta Sheila also came up for the weekend. It was a wonderfully rambunctious hour of fire, fried food, and presents. . .

"Woah."

Paul plays while Weils swarm about him. . .

Uncle Eric, Aunt Andi, Jacob, Sophia, and Asher all came over for Hanukkah - and so did Safta Sheila - but Paul doesn't let an extra half-dozen people interrupt his play. . .

More Paul Playing Videos

Paul playing with new presents and an old garbage can. . .

Paul playing with the present that sounds like a cross between an airplane taking off and a hairdryer. . .

More playing - listen for him huming/making motor-boat noises to himself, and crawling with the plastic balls in his hands. . .

Paul doesn't need any more toys - just send canned goods. . .

Daddy teaches Paul Dreidle

I have a little Dreidle. I made it out of clay. . .
. . .and when it's dry and ready, then Dreidle I shall play!
Dreidle tastes like wood. And triumph over persecution. But mostly wood.

Now Dreidle, when I put you on the floor, spin like you do when Daddy puts you down, ok?

Merry Christmas, non-Jewish friends!

Paul playing with his Hanukkah Toys.

Thanks for the ball-machine toy, Grandma Shelly and Grandpa Steve. We always wanted a toy that sounds like a cross between an airplane taking off and a hairdryer. . .

Paul cannot let go of a toy long enough to go from one place to another. As he is crawling, not yet walking, this creates a situation which often results in him sliding on objects - much like weird baby x-country skiing. This is especially funny when he has a plastic ball in each hand. He totters along like a woman on high heels. . .there is video of this in another post, but here's a visual:

4th night of Hanukkah

Daddy had his Christmas Eve "Hanukkah Happens" Zamir concert, so Mommy and Paul lit candles together. Unfortunately, Mommy could either take a picture of the candles by them selves, or a picture of Paul setting himself on fire with the candles. . .she took the first option. . .

2nd night of Hanukkah

Paul celebrated the second night of Hanukkah with Grandma Shelly and Grandpa Steve! We had chinese food, and presents, and latkes, and a really good time.

Grandma and Grandpa are on their way to Florida for the winter, so the next time Paull will see them is when we all go down for a week in February. We miss them already, but hope they are nice and warm. We love you, Grandma Shelly and Grandpa Steve! Happy Hanukkah!
