Chag Purim!

Happy Purim!

Paul's life has changed in a lot of ways from last purim. For one, he's evolved from a dinosaur/dragon to an astronaut. For another, he has a little brother, and his parents are running through each day like headless chickens, and almost forgot it was Purim.
Astronaut Paul is all about the "apple snacks." Hey, most space food is freeze dried, right?
Paul picnics during the Sunday morning reading of the Megillah.

Happy Three-Weeks, Joss!

Visitors

On Friday, Aunt Andi stopped by for lunch with Mommy and a cuddle with Joss.
Then, Saturday night, Daddy came by to hang out with his littlest boy.
Whachu talkin' 'bout, Daddy?
Daddy's bottle-feeding skills all came back. . .
. . .although Joss seemed skeptical.

Paul's new "magic trick"

What with all the blog-time his new brother has been scoring, Paul knew he had to step up his game. Here's his new "magic trick:"

CHEEEEEEEESEEEEEE!!!!!

Ice-Cream Mustache

Joss in real clothes

So, Mommy scoffed at Joss' old roommate's parents for bringing in clothes when the hospital provided perfectly good white, wrap-around undershirts that make all babies look like wee Luke Skywalkers. Then she reconsidered after pawing through a pile of Paul's old baby clothes and a fresh surge of hormones hit the proverbial fan. . .

(The onesie reads: MY MOM ROCKS me to sleep, written in a heavy-metal rock font.)

Extreme close-up! See, you don't need a fancy schmancy camera to achieve "depth of field." You just need a very still, sleeping subject; a crib with clear sides to steady one's hand; and a diaper-load of luck.

Super baby! Up, up, and away!
Tuckered from tummy-time.

Joss' First Bath

Unlike his big brother's bathing debut, Joss' was a more private affair - just Mommy and the day nurse.
Joss was very stoic. . .
. . . with only the occasional wry commentary.
Mommy was happy to finally wash his hair. . .
. . .and Joss was resigned to his fate.
Joss, when clean, has very light brown hair, most unlike his brother's original near-black pouf of dandelion fluff.

Proof Positive

Paul is most definitely his mother's son. . .
. . . and his father's son.

Joss reached his birthweight!

Today, Joss reached - and squeaked past - his birthweight! Thanks to the extra calories added to his pumped breast-milk, Joss is now 5lb 5oz! Keep gaining, baby!

Paul's PSA: Brushing your teeth is good.

Using TWO toothbrushes makes it TWICE as good!

FIRST FAMILY PICTURE

Well. . . Sort of. Paul had a much better time video-chatting with Joss this time around - smart of Daddy to not mention Blues Clues until after the chat. Paul waved and blew kisses, Joss yawned and bobbles his head. Ah, brothers.

Wednesday with Joss - III

Yummy Mommy kisses.

Trying the bottle again. . .
OK, enough with the pictures today, huh?

Wednesday with Joss - II

I left the womb so fast - did I turn off the oven?
Daddy took some lovely beauty shots with his fancy schmancy camera:

Wednesday with Joss - I

Sleepy Joss - time to wake up!
Joss is not impressed with the neo-natal physical therapist (even though she was very nice).
Mommy and Joss.
I swear, I caught a fish thiiiiiiis big!
Silly baby!
