On our way to LA, CA!

Sunday morning, we packed out luggage into the cab, and headed off to Logan airport.

I had never been a person who thought that child-leashes were anything but cruel and dehumanizing. . .until I had a toddler, and realized that toddlers are cruel and dehumanizing, and walked through busy airports attached to plush monkey backpacks with tail leashes. . .Shawn got a glare from someone, and responded "I have to pick up after him, too."

It was a wicked long flight, and Paul did not sleep nearly enough for any of us (or the other passengers) to be happy. He did enjoy stumbling up and down the aisles, pausing from time to time to check what a person was reading, to say hello, or try to grab a crossword puzzle. . .

We shopped for some supplies, had dinner, and got settled into our apartment for the week. There are many minor flaws in this rental, but the view is gorgeous (the beach is right across the street, view only partially obstructed by palm trees and flowering bushes), the bed comfortable, and there's lots of room for Paul to run around.
