Monday in CA - Part I

So, Paul went to bed on PST, but woke up on EST. . .and Mommy and Daddy were not happy. Here's hoping for better luck tonight. . .

We had a lovely day. Paul and Daddy walked down to Venice Beach and back while Mommy got to sleep in a little. After breakfast (where Paul fed himself yogurt and pears), we went for a drive up the PCH. In Malibu, we took a right turn into Coral Canyon. . .and proceeded to climb this crazy mountain road, complete with switchbacks, hairpin turns, and incredible views.

Oh, and we also drove through a Nissan Commercial that was shooting on the mountainside. That was cool.

The shoot - one car had a large camera and an awkwardly scrunched-in man sitting in the back, and there were 2 men on bicycles in Nissan racing gear. . .

Paul was less impressed.

On our way back down, we were stopped by a policeman - the commercial was filming, and we had to stay out of frame. . . While waiting, we began talking to two bicyclists who were also detained - nice guys, originally from MA. Small world. Paul and Daddy took a short walk until we were cleared to go.
