For the Birds...

In honor of Darwin's birthday, I'll list all of the birds that Paul and I saw this week in Florida.

Blue-winged Teal
Mottled Duck
Pied-billed Grebe
Great Blue Heron
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Little Blue Heron
Tricolored Heron
Cattle Egret
Green Heron
White Ibis (we saw hundreds of them, roosting!)
Glossy Ibis
Turkey Vulture
Purple Gallinule
Common Moorhen
North American Jubjub
American Coot
Limpkin
Anhinga
Some kind of Sandpiper
Assorted Gulls
Red-winged Blackbird

I'm sure we saw other, more common birds, but these were the cool waterbirds. Happy Darwin Day!
