We have deliberate roll-over!!

When Mommy wants a few more minutes of sleep in the morning (and when doesn't Mommy want a few more minutes?), and Paul is already in the bed (from a 4am feeding) and awake and wanting to play, Mommy pulls Paul up into a sitting position. Then he can explore the pattern of the blankets or play with his Whozit from a new perspective, and Mommy can get at least 5, sometimes 6 more minutes of sleep.

This morning, after sitting and playing a little while, Paul fell back into Mommy's arms for a little giggle and cuddle. After a few minutes, Paul began grunting and let out a little shriek, then rolled over onto his tummy! Much clapping (from Mommy) and chuckling (from Paul) ensued.

The show wasn't over yet. Paul rolled over again to his back (which is kind of easy, just falling over in a specific direction). But then, he began shrieking and grunting, grunting and shrieking, and slowly. . .crossed a leg over. . . .then an arm over. . .aaaaaannnnnd. . . Poof! Paul rolled over from back to front!! Much more clapping (from Mommy) and chuckling (from Paul).

Paul scooted backwards a little. . .then rolled onto his back, then back to his front - yet again! Mommy clapped and cheered, Paul grinned and drooled. Woo-HOO!!

It's been heckuva day at sea, sir!*

*bonus points if you can name the movie

Yay! Congrats on the roll! All too soon he'll be running around and those precious 5 minutes of sleep will be fewer.

ps. Overboard!
