We finally put Paul's b-ball hoop together. . .

. . .Paul liked watching daddy put the ball in the net, and he liked trying to put other toys through the net. . .and later in the day, he tried to put the ball in the net. . .up into the hoop from below. . . Will Paul have a basket ball career? Magic 8-Ball says: future hazy, ask again later. . .

Let it Snow!

This was just from Saturday. . . Unfortunately, Paul had a fever, so we couldn't take him out to play. Also, it was 16 degrees. . .

Old MacDonald had a Paul. . .

. . .e-i e-i oh. And Old MacDonald should have invested in disaster-insurance. . .ay-yi ay-yi owe. . .

Is Paul Dancing?

Paul has something of an oral fixation. . .

I'm assuming the cool metal felt good on his poor, teething gums. . .

More grilled cheese, please!

Hi Daddy!

We love you!

Guess who just cut tooth #3?!?

Yes! Paul did! Now he's got the 2 bottom front teeth, and the right upper lateral. None of them are very far out yet, but those wee edges are wicked sharp!

And. . .tonight he let me brush them. A little bit. Way more than when we first started brushing Thursday night. =)

By the way. . .Tooth #2!!

Naked Baby Bubbly Bath Time!!

Mommy bought some Mr. Bubble (for sensitive skin) yesterday, and Daddy added a whole bunch to the tub. . . Mr. Bubble is waaaaaayyy more bubbly than the organic aromatherapy bubble bath we had been using. . . Waaaaaayyyy more bubbly. Way.

Party, party, party!

Paul went to his friend Emma's first birthday party today. He was the oldest baby there by a good 2 weeks, and he had a good time playing with all the ladies - and the 2 other boys. . .

Happy Birthday, Emma!

You wanna see where my tooth is coming in?
Seriously, you wanna see?

See? Up on my right (your left), kind of over from the center? Mommy calls it my right lateral. . .
. . .the laterals are supposed to be the 5-8th teeth that come in, not the first. But I like doing things my own way. . .

See, I find that some things that are, say, "on" a table or "in" a shelf are actually much happier when taken "off" said table or "out" of said shelf. . .
. . .Like these yogurt treats right here. . .

. . .That's better!

Moving objects from one surface to another is quite dirty work. . .

Paul plays with Daddy in the babycage. . .

Um, that does not belong on your head, Daddy. . .

You have a silly Daddy-face, Daddy.

WARNING: GROSS (yet still kinda cute) IMAGES!!

Paul has had a bit of a cold this weekend. . .it has been exacerbated by teething, but whatever the root cause, the "gross" effect has been snot. Lots and lots of snot. There's a booger in the sugar? No, there's not. Snot. These are a few pictures of Paul and his tenacious mucus. . .scroll if you dare. . .

Seriously, it's gross and funny and cute, but mostly gross. . .

Playing on the stairs with Grandpa Steve. . .

Grandma SHelly and Grandpa Steve babysat for Paul Saturday night while Mommy and Daddy went to Daddy's office holiday party. While Mommy was getting dressed, Paul led Grandpa on a merry chase up and, well up the stairs (Paul's not doing the down thing yet). . .

Blueberry Gangster

Our Performance Artist. . .

It's kind of a cross between Mozart and Tori Amos. . .

What's a performance with out an intermission?

Alas, the end is always the same, curtains. . .

Daddy?

Daddy? Daddy daddy?
Daddy!

DADDY!!

Milestone: First Tooth

Paul finally cut his first tooth! I think it's "D," the upper right lateral (see chart below:)
His gums - top and bottom - have been red and swollen for weeks, but besides from bulging shapes under the skin, there had been no sign of actual toothage. . .

Tonight, as I was getting him ready for his bath, I was able to take a peek (and by take a peek, I mean try to look through the flailing limbs and the so-loud-there-was-distortion-to-the-surrounding-air screaming) and saw the unmistakable flash of white tooth slashing through the gum. . .

I don't know if he realizes it's there - beyond the obvious "Hey, this area hurts like heck," of course. Poor little guy. . . Well, one down, 19 more to go!
