Road trip to Maryland

We had a great trip to Maryland and Virginia last weekend. I was down in DC for work, so Beren and Paul flew down on Friday for a quick visit to her Aunt Randy, Uncle Mitch, and cousins David & Matt. We got to meet Matt's fiancee Susan, and cousins Fran and Joe (who, if you are counting, are Paul's first cousins twice-removed). We also had lunch with one of Beren's oldest friends, Traci, her husband Paul, and their wonderful kids Andrew & Benjamin. Oh, and Shadow the dog.

Over the River and Through the Woods...

We had a very eventful weekend. Beren, Paul, and I drove down to Highland Mills on Friday and Saturday and saw Safta, Cindy, Jes, Uncle Adam & Aunt Jill, Cousins Josh & Alex, old friends Zvi & Beth, Rabbi Kligfeld, and lots more friends of Sabba Paul and Safta Sheila. On Sunday we drove down to New Jersey to see Bubbie Rose, Aunt Phyllis, Uncle Marty & Aunt Ina, Grandma Shelly & Grandpa Steve, Uncle Eric & Aunt Andria, cousins Risa, Mandi, Jay, Miriam, Sara, Paige, Justin, Jacob, Sophia, & Asher, and some of my oldest and bestest friends Darren, Jeni, & Aimee. A lot of people in a little period of time, but it was worth the whirlwind. There are lots of photos to look through. Enjoy!

Holiday Parties and Two Weeks of Photos

Friday night was the Aptima holiday party. The family finally feeling better, Beren, Paul, Cindy (visiting from NY) and I all decided to enjoy some friends and food. Paul was a hit, and seemed to enjoy himself the whole time (until the awards). We amazingly stayed until 10:30!

I haven't posted photos in a while, so here are some nice ones. They include photos from the hospital, the first few nights of Hanukkah, the Aptima office party, and visits from Shira, Sam, Jonah, Safta, and Cindy.

We had lots of visitors today - dear family coming before Paul's bris. He met his Bubbe Rose, Aunt Margie, Grand-aunt Phyllis, and his mommy's great friend Jodi. Safta Sheila, Bubbe Barbara, Grandma Shelly, and Grandpa Steve were also there. Take a look at these great photos. My favorite is the video of Bubbe Rose singing a Yiddish lullabye.

Spa Treatment

Paul's First Bath

Today was a busy 2nd day for Paul. They gave a demo of a bath in the post-partum ward, and Paul was the star attraction! The real spa treatment: Shiatsu massage, sponge bath, and hair treatment.

He also had a hearing test. I asked the audiology technician a lot of silly technical questions. Exposure to speech science and auditory perception stuff in grad school made me sound just informed enough to be a real pain.

After that, he enjoyed bonding time with mommy, sleepy time with Snuffy, and music time with me. Safta and Bubbe are coming to visit tonight, and we are all excited.
